Every furnace or air conditioner has a duty cycle or life expectancy. In our Northern Alberta climate, with all the heating cycles your home goes through to heat your home its life expectancy is 18-20 years if it is serviced regularly, installed and sized for your home correctly. If it is sized too large for the heat loss calculation for your home, this can cause a shorter life expectancy or create heating issues. If you do not service and maintain your furnace, the life of your furnace will be shortened considerably. The old standard furnaces have an efficiency rating of approximately 60%. The 20 year old mid efficiency furnaces have a peak operating efficiency of 75-80% at best. The new hi-efficiency Trane, Goodman and Napolean furnaces we install in new homes are 95-97%.

They come with optional or standard ten year parts warranty (with owner registration) and an optional 10 year labour warranty. The energy savings from your new furnace will easily pay for itself in no time.

Most homeowners believe a furnace replacement will cost them $8-12,000, but this is not always the case most of our furnaces replacements are done for as little as $3000. We offer financing to help finance your homes new furnace or air conditioner. The gas bill savings will pay your monthly finance payment for you. If you are thinking of or are selling your home and it has an older furnace, it would be wise to have it replaced before listing your home, most home inspectors will not pass an inspection when an older furnace is present and will recommend changing it out. A new furnace, air conditioner or hot water tank in your home shows the potential home buyer that the home is very well maintained.
